Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) Cell has been constituted to coordinate all activities related to conduct online national level test for admission in to all post graduate pharmacy programmes in AICTE approved institutions.
The Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) is an All India examination conducted by The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
Admission to PostGraduate Programmes with MHRD and other Government Scholarships/Assistantships in Pharmacy colleges / institutes is open to those who qualify through GPAT.
Candidates who qualify GPAT examination and have Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy are eligible for admission to Master/Doctoral programmes in Pharmacy. To avail the scholarship, the candidate must secure admission to such a post graduate programme, as per the prevailing procedure of the admiiting institution. However, candidates with Master's degree in Pharmacy may seek admission to relevant PhD programmes with scholarship / assistantship without appearing in GPAT examination.
QUALIFYING DEGREE FOR GPAT :Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final year of such programmes.
SCHEME OF THE EXAMINATION –GPAT will be a Computer Based Test (CBT)
All candidates of GPAT will appear in a single paper of 3 hrs duration consisting of 125 questions.
Each question will be of 4 marks. For each wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted.
GPAT SCOREGPAT score card is valid for one year from the date of announcement of result.
